I am all about taking new and complex technologies and building products and experiences that people love. I am a technophile but not a techno-maximalist (unless we're talking about music): I firmly believe in the need to marry product development with intuitive UX, robust policy, and transparency and accessibility.
I am proud of my colorful career: my exposure to vastly different verticals and use-cases gives me a unique ability to navigate ambiguity across product stages and share perspectives on a wide variety of subjects and technologies.
Trust and Safety Analyst at Google
Responsible for protecting Google's users by ensuring online safety by fighting web abuse and fraud across Google products.
My team pioneered policy work and the use of network science methods to identify swathes of fake accounts and take down egregious accounts.
I did some morbid stuff: the person who identified the accounts belonging to ISIS terrorists posting those awful videos? That was me. I also led efforts to make sure your data is safe in case you die.
Senior Strategy Analyst at YouTube
I worked in YouTube's internal strategy consulting team. Armed with 10,000 hours of SQL, I helped craft the product, go-to market, and marketing strategies for products like YouTube Premium, YouTube Music, YouTube Kids, and YouTube Gaming.
I jointly led efforts to negotiate billion-dollar deals with major music labels (UMG, Sony, Warner) and publishers to make sure YouTube users get access to all the great music they love.
Product Manager at YouTube Music
I decided to become a PM in the Music team so that I could get more involved in building great products instead of doing it from a distance. I guess I got bored of making beautiful slides and writing endless SQL queries.
I led efforts aimed at making YouTube the premier destination for artists. I launched several features that helped artists connect with their fans, push music to new audiences, and understand their performance with best-in-industry analytics.
Co-founder and Product Lead at Google AI
I got the start-up bug but couldn't leave Google because of my visa. So I decided to pitch my idea and build internally.
I co-founded and led a team within Google AI to explore the application of new machine learning models for language education.
My team conducted novel research and brought these innovations to market with new products. We developed LLM-based learning experiences way before it was cool. We prototyped and built solutions that enable language learners to become more confident speakers by improving their vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and fluency.
Senior Product Manager at Netflix
Joined Netflix to work on efforts that leverage technology to make even better content. I worked in the Netflix Animation Studio and explored ML for content creation, particularly 2D and 3D animated movies: from writing and storyboarding to rigging and rendering.
I also did some fun work with the Globalization team. Led product efforts on "Lip Reanimation", using deep-fakes to reanimate the lip movement of actors to conform to target audio in any language. This allows us to remove lip sync inconsistencies and produce a much more immersive experience for users consuming dubbed content.
Head of Client Growth at Protocol Labs
I got bit by the crypto bug. I took a leap of faith and joined Protocol Labs where I led growth efforts for Filecoin. There was a load of storage capacity supply but very little demand - my job was to fix that.
I founded the "Client Growth" team and led a cross-functional team of ~10 people that enabled a 20x increase in data stored on Filecoin. It was part product, part engineering, part marketing, and part partnerships.
I focused on two things: telling the story of the benefits of decentralized storage and building software to enable petabytes of data to be onboarded more seamlessly. We worked with numerous companies and universities to onboard about 5 petabytes of data per day.
Product Lead at Jump Trading (Jump Crypto)
Jump Crypto is one of the biggest players in crypto and I was offered to join them as their first senior product hire. This exciting role gave me an extremely broad view of the web3 world: from investments and trading to infrastructure and R&D.
As with all things crypto, my role was complex: part product strategy, part venture architect, and part investor. Some days I was figuring out how to spin-off projects into new entities, others I was sourcing deals and conducting due diligence on the next big Layer 2 protocol.
I also helped support a large portfolio of early-stage companies and worked closely with partnerships as a contributor to Wormhole to help scale it to new ecosystems.
